  11.    With 2.70 upgrade version & the change in menu for the ICFILE, auto
  12.    icon scanner, I added and area at the bottom where you can have  
  13.    information about your BBS or what ever for your users to read while
  14.    wait for an icon scan to be completed.  The ICFILEBS.TXT I have
  15.    include tells a little about RIP & GUIs.  If you wish to edit or
  16.    change this then just edit the text with a text editor.  You can only
  17.    have 4 line 77 character wide.. if you add any more, it just won't
  18.    get read in.

  25.    This used to be MAININFO.TXT.  It is now .ANS so you can add ANSI
  26.    (escape codes) to it for color, using a program like The Draw.

  28.    You can also put @-Codes in it, but only the @-Codes that IconUpDater
  29.    can recognize.... see MENUS.TXT

  31.    Also if you use The Draw, make sure you move the end of page pointer
  32.    to the last line of text or it will keep scrolling off the text window.

  35.    Edit this file to say what ever you want, up to 47 charters per line,
  36.    21 lines max.  Your text will be displayed just below the main menu!
  37.    This will be display in the big black whole on the Main menu.  Edit
  38.    MAINinfo.txt to suit your BBS!

  41.    If IconUpDater is Registered you can create your own RIPgraphics menu
  42.    screens!  The file name for the Main Menu has to be: "MAINMENU.RIP" and
  43.    must be in the same DIR as Iconupd.exe.

  45.    You can also make your own downlaod menu on the registered version!
  46.    That file has be in the IconUpDater DIR and has to be called:
  47.                                                              "DOWNMENU.RIP"

  58.    This file is created to tell you who downloaded what and when.  IF you
  59.    delete this file, becuase it gets to long or something, IconUpDater will
  60.    just create another one.  It just keeps APPENDing USERLOG.TXT forever,
  61.    so it's a good idea to delete this file every so often.

  94.     For reasons beyond beyond my control ( people who krack KEYs ), I will
  95.     possibly create a new KEY file for each major version.  If you are a 
  96.     registered IconUpDater User, you will have special access priviledges
  97.     to DUOnline, which will enable to quickly login and Run the Registered
  98.     IconUpDater KEY program directly from the IconUpDater Menu.  This will
  99.     allow long distance caller to download there new KEY in a matter of
  100.     minutes.  Realize that I will not have this get out of hand, to the
  101.     point that you will have to call in every month or something like that.

  103.     DUOnline is also in the process of Building a dedicated RIP support
  104.     file area, where you can get the latest RIP stuff; like screens, Icons
  105.     and support files.

  108.     The IconUpDate and all other Ryan Andersen Software files are now
  109.     encoded... if you attemp to change to EXE files in any way the 
  110.     program wil bomb.... HARD!

  116.       Local Downloading is now available... why?  Oh, I guess some people
  117.       like to test that they have specified the proper path in their
  118.       DNICON.CFG file.  Realize that just because IconUpDater is working
  119.       locally, it may not be working remotely.  The best test is to have
  120.       someone call in and test it.

  124.          Call IconUpDater from a remote system with RIPterm or WCpro w/RIP 
  125.          and click on the "IconUpDater ver #"...
